Hospital Hiring Failure? Woman Accused of Working as RN Without License for 18 Months

A 29-year-old woman in Florida was arrested after authorities discovered she had been posing as a registered nurse for about 18 months. According to investigators, she worked at AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway by using false credentials and another nurse’s license number to secure the job. During that time, she reportedly treated around 4,486 patients despite not having a valid nursing license.
Her deception was uncovered when she was being considered for a promotion. A coworker checked her license information and discovered that she did not hold an active registered nurse license. Instead, she only had an expired certified nursing assistant credential. This discovery triggered an internal review and a criminal investigation.
She was later fired and charged with multiple felonies related to practicing without a license and identity fraud. The case raised serious concerns about hiring verification processes and patient safety, as thousands of patients had been treated by someone who was not legally qualified to perform the role.
