Parent: frantic call at bedtime ‘Our daughter left her stuffed rabbit at a restaurant in Kilkenny. We’re in Galway now. She won’t sleep without it. She’s hysterical. I know this isn’t your problem but—’

Us: ‘What restaurant?’

Parent: ‘Ristorante Rinuccini, I think? We left 4 hours ago, they’re probably closed—’

Us: ‘Give us 20 minutes.’

20 minutes later

Us: ‘Got it. Restaurant still had it. We’re posting it to your hotel in Galway. Should arrive tomorrow morning.’

Parent: silence
Parent: ‘You drove to Kilkenny to get a stuffed rabbit?’

Us: ‘Nah, we rang a local lad who lives near there. He grabbed it. We’re posting it now. She’ll have Flopsy for tomorrow night’s bedtime.’

Parent: ‘I don’t know what to say…’

Us: ‘You’re family. That’s what cousins do. ☘️

That’s the Cousin way.
